New Mexico 2022
In the fall of 2019 I entered New Mexico. I planned to winter in a warmer climate and return in April 2020. The pandemic had other plans for me. I was determined to return and finally came back in April of 2022.

New England Summer
I live in a van and have no air conditioning so I headed north for the summer. The the mountains of New Hampshire and Vermont and the coast of Maine were just the ticket.

Appalachia North Carolina
Summer plans were affected by the Covid19 Virus. I had planned a nice S curve following the Blue Ridge Parkway that turned into more of a zig-zag. Campgrounds that I reserved never opened and the ones that did were packed. Kids and bears were abundant.

Arizona Encore
With pandemic-closed campgrounds, I returned to Arizona where there were places to “dry camp” or “disperse” camp. This means finding places on Bureau of Land Management land or National Forests. I was out of my comfort zone driving down forest service roads looking for places to pull off, but that can also be called “adventure”!…
